Stampin Creative Blog Hop...

Hello and welcome to the second blog hop from the Stampin Creative team.
You will have joined me from the lovely Eimear. A lovely project don't you agree.

This time we were working with a sketch by Louise

I choose to work very closely with the sketch as you can see from my card below.

I used Butterfly Basics and just 3 colours, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzazz. The sentiment is from the Painted Petals stamp set.
I decided to stamp the elements of the sketch to allow it to be a post friendly card although I have added a little dimension by popping the circle element onto dimensionals as you can see below.

I do hope you are enjoying hopping around our blogs and finding some inspiration along the way. I would love for you to leave me a comment below and if you have created something using the sketch link to your project and I will be sure to pop by.

Now hop on over to the lovely Pip

Thank you for stopping by xx

Need a little sympathy?

Hello.....

I'm back today with another collage card. This one is a little different as I have kept the colours very simple. A combination of Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Perfect plum.

Sympathy cards are always the hardest cards to send and definitely the hardest cards to create. I like to keep a few in my card box as I never feel much like crafting when I get bad news like this. It seems easier to make them when I am in a happy mood.

I have used the same Butterfly Basics stamp set as yesterdays card but changed the shape of the mask to accommodate the sentiment and kept the stamping to the images in the set leaving out the words.

Fortunately I have no need to send this card and I hope it stays in my stash for a very long time!

I hope you like today's make and with a change of sentiment it could just as easily be a 'happy card'

Collage stamping...

Hello...

It's been a busy few days here with all the children on half term and the Nutty one away but I did manage to sneak a few hours in the craft room.

Right now I am all about choosing to be happy. It's never easy when the Nutty one is away and to make it harder my eldest left to go and live with her Dad while she is at college to make the travelling easier and less interruptions to study time.
With college in my mine I decided to try the 'Collage Technique' I first saw on Pinterest a while ago and while searching for it again I found THIS blog. I loved the card so I decided to give it a go.

As you can see I changed the colours and several other elements but the basic element of collage is the same.

I hope you liked today's card and if you did please leave a comment to let me know you have been by.

Spreading the Love...

Good Morning....

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and those of you feeling all loved up had a special day on Saturday.
The Nutty one is away working in the States at the moment so for me it was a day like any other. I was just getting ready for some housework when I got a distress call from my best friend. She had been so busy with her business that she had forgotten to smuggle one of my Valentines cards from her shop to give to hubby.
Never one to stand in the way of romance I jumped to it and created this little gem for her to give.

I have used a couple of sets from my 'retired but too nice to part with stash' but as this is a personal order and not a class card it's ok.

A simple accordion fold in Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White and Real Red.
I stamped the whisper white layers using the Hardwood background stamp before adding the detail.

Panel one features a punched out heart using the Sweetheart  punch with a stamped image behind.

Panel two has nesting banners using our Banner Framelits and a stamped sentiment that is very special to the couple.

Panel three has a stamped and punched image from Tag's for You and the co-ordinating Label Bracket punch

I couldn't leave the back panel bare so have added a little love there too.

I can say that both the giver and the recipient were over the moon with the card.

Welcome Sweet Baby...

Good Morning.... This week I was asked to create a card for a very special boy who was to be born yesterday. I am very lucky to have a fabulous relationship with the girls at my local vets and they always come to me for their cards.
When Jo rang I was so pleased to be asked to make her a card for a long awaited nephew who was born by C-Section yesterday!

This is the card which uses the fabulous Celebrate Today stamp set and framelits which can be found in the current Seasonal catalogue from Stampin' UP  It also uses Hardwood for the background and a little bit of Baby, We've Grown for a button like detail.

All of the products used to make this card can be found in my online shop HERE and don't forget that all purchases of £45 (or multiples) qualify for an exclusive FREE product from our Sale-A-Bration campaign.
